Walmex (Walmart Mexico) launched its Walmart Express supermarket banner in November 2020. Since then, it has converted most supermarkets under its Superama banner to the new format. Once the final conversions are complete it will begin expanding the banner in areas of the country where it has no/low presence.

In Mexico, shopping habits have evolved, and Walmart Express is more closely aligned to the needs of a post-pandemic shopper.

• New Cocina Express food-to-go offer
• Improved omnichannel initiatives, including a pickup desk and curbside delivery
• Self-checkouts
