Migros is expanding its partnership with Zur Rose, an e-commerce pharmacy.
Rolling out the concept
Following a successful trial, Migros is rolling out a shop-in-shop pharmacy concept in partnership with Zur Rose. It initially trialed the idea in three stores, located in Bern, Basel and Zurich. In February 2020, it will launch the concept in Western Switzerland, with a shop-in-shop pharmacy located in Crissier. It is also planning to roll the concept out to additional locations in the future.
Benefits to customers
The pharmacy will offer customers specialist advice as well as lower prices than traditional pharmacies. The location of the pharmacy in the store increases the convenience for shoppers, who are able to grab any grocery items they need whilst picking up pharmacy products. Items can also be ordered online, for pick up or delivery and the companies will be combining their e-commerce resources. The Migros loyalty programme will also apply, with customers collecting Cumulus points on pharmacy purchases.
