US-based Kroger delivered a strong second quarter performance, driven by its focus on emphasising value, enhancing its fresh food offer and accelerating its digital initiatives. We look at some of the key programmes which supported this.

Total sales increased 9.3% to $34,638m. Excluding fuel, sales increased 5.2%
Identical store sales increased 5.8%
