Vietnam is experiencing its worst wave of the pandemic, with Ho Chi Minh City as the epicentre of the latest outbreak.  The lockdown has disrupted the distribution of food in the city, especially for fresh vegetables.  The supply shortage has caused prices of commodities to increase significantly, such that people are unable to purchase essential food items.   Guardian and AEON are among the retailers which have recently launched initiatives to address this issue.
