There can be no denying that hypermarkets are going through a period of reinvention  and this process has been really brought to life by Auchan Portugal in its recently opened store in the affluent town of Cascais near Lisbon. It is an innovative take on the hypermarket concept, encompassing new restaurants, a rooftop garden and terrace and interesting takes on food-for-now and food-for-later.
