A smart delivery solution empowers quick commerce
Dada Group, a leading platform for local on-demand retail and delivery in China, partnered with JD.com, China's leading one-stop ecommerce platform, to organize the 415 Intra-City Shopping Festival, which ran from 8 to 17 April 2022. 150,000 offline stores participated in the event, across over 1,700 cities and counties in China, offering a wide range of products that included groceries and fresh produce, which could be delivered within one hour.
Dada first deployed its autonomous delivery open platform to support the event. The platform consists of three parts: a smart dispatching system for unmanned vehicles, a human-vehicle interaction system, and a smart order management system. With these advanced technologies, the order processing time and delivery cost are greatly shortened and reduced. Besides, the platform supports the sellers with digitized operation tools, and a secure delivery experience.
Unveiling opportunities for small merchants
Leveraging Dada’s autonomous delivery open platform, small merchants could easily reach out and promote their products to potential customers at a competitive price but with better delivery services. In addition, livestreaming ecommerce was introduced to help retailers and brands boost their sales and brand awareness, reaching out to an audience of millions. Nationwide retailers and brands joined the event, including Walmart, CR Vanguard, Yonghui, Carrefour, Yili, Mengniu, Jinlongyu, Dove, Wyeth, Nestle, and Chaoneng. To participate in the shopping festival, customers simply use either JDDJ's mobile app or WeChat's mini program through the "Nearby" tab which provides access to stores nearby, and the products with the "Shop Now" icon are supported with Dada's one-hour delivery service.
