UK pub company Stonegate announced this week that they are introducing a flexible pricing model, where prices will be higher in peak times. A pint of beer for example will cost drinkers between 20p and £1.50 more on Friday nights and Saturdays under the new pricing model. Its justification is that, like all retail businesses it needs to manage its costs, and increased demand brings incremental costs that need to be covered.
